​We want a world where everyone gets to play.

 

But we can’t just do that, because the world doesn’t support it. So, we have a lot of meetings. We make a lot of policies. We try to find new and better ways to do things. We try to really meet our needs and those of our collaborators.

 

Too many of us are struggling.  And we want to change that. We want people to say YES and NO and LET’S TRY and really mean it. With every performance, every meeting, every policy, every game, we experiment with play as a practice of freedom.

 

What does freedom mean to us as a collective?

• Obviously, everyone has what they need in order to live well.

• Obviously, work still happens but no one is compelled to have a job.

• Obviously, everyone who wants to make art can make art.

• Obviously, everyone experiences autonomy, dignity, and respect in their work.   

 

Freedom is also a braid of our individual dreams:

• It’s knowing bone deep that when things fall apart the world has your back.

• It’s feeling into our wild dreams and sharing that possibility with others.

• It’s the things you would do (after you got enough rest) if you didn’t need to have a job.

• It’s finding peace in possibility.

• It’s knowing your joy, safety, and ease isn’t coming at the expense of anyone else’s.

And, like everything we do at Obvious Agency, this world can’t be created by us alone. We need you!
